STUDENT SUPPORT OFFICER

Student Support Officer – Wellbeing for Learning. This role will work with students who require additional support to attend classes and complete classwork in the classroom setting. Primarily this role will support students who have diverse learning needs and require additional support to attend school. 

This role is offered on a 0.5 to 1.0 FTE load and is required to work during school term time only. Applicants should have a passion for working with young people and be able to communicate effectively and compassionately with students, staff and parents. Ideally, the successful applicant will have a teaching background.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER

St Stanislaus’ College Bathurst is seeking to appoint a Religious Education Teacher on a fixed-term contract basis for Term 2, 2024 (Monday 29 April 2024 to Friday 28 June 2024) with the possibility of extension. A second teaching area would be advantageous.

BOARDING HOUSE SUPERVISORS

The College is seeking applications from interested and enthusiastic people for the role of Boarding House Supervisor on a casual basis .

Boarding House Supervisors have the privilege of working with our boarding students and ensuring that all their routines and College expectations are being met. Supervisors develop a strong rapport with our boarding students and assist other College staff with guiding these students on their secondary education journey.

Supervisors are supported by a shift Team Leader, Houseparents and the Head of Boarding. The Boarding Team works closely together to ensure that all staff and students are supported in a welcoming, caring environment.

Shifts are rostered across mornings (before school), afternoon/evenings and weekends during school term time. Supervisors may also be required to complete on-call shifts during the school term which requires staying overnight, in College provided accommodation, on a rotational basis.

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with and mentoring young people, strong interpersonal skills to liaise with students and staff, confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to be a team player with a positive and professional disposition. It would be desirable for applicants to hold current first aid qualifications, or be willing to obtain first aid qualifications with the support of the College.
