SCHOOL SUPPORT OFFICERS

St Stanislaus’ College is seeking to develop a small team of School Support Officers to manage and support students’ individual learning while working in the Slattery Learning Centre (SLC). Stannies students attend the SLC during study periods and in the absence of their timetabled teachers. They generally work individually to complete tasks set for them via the Google Classroom platform. Multiple classes may access the SLC during a lesson. The School Support Officers will be employed to work school hours (generally 8.45am to 3.25pm Monday to Friday, during school term-time only). They will work under the direction of and be supported by the Deputy Heads of College and Pastoral Care Coordinators. 

Successful applicants will have a passion for working with young people and be able to communicate effectively and compassionately with students and staff. COMPUTING STUDIES TEACHER

St Stanislaus’ College Bathurst is seeking to appoint a Secondary Computing Studies Teacher with a focus on Digital Technologies, Information and Software Technology and Software Design and Development. Reporting to the Academic Care Leader – TAS & Computing, this position aims to engage and motivate all students in the concepts of digital technologies. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in their teaching, together with high level skills in the use of technology in the teaching and learning process. This position is offered on an ongoing basis.

CASUAL TEACHER

St Stanislaus’ College Bathurst is seeking expressions of interest for casual teaching roles across a range of subjects.

BOARDING HOUSE SUPERVISORS

Boarding House Supervisors are responsible for the supervision of boarders ensuring that all Boarding House routines and expectations set by the College are met. Boarding House Supervisors are rostered to supervise a year group each shift and ensure that students are meeting their required routine for that shift. Boarding House Supervisors liaise with the Head of Boarding and Houseparents on all matters associated with student care and will be aware of and respond to the pastoral needs of boarding students.

Applicants must be available to work morning shifts from 6.50am to 8.50am along with afternoon/evening and weekend shifts. Boarding House Supervisors may also be required to complete on-call shifts during the school term which requires residing overnight at the College one to two nights per week on a rotational basis. 

The College is also seeking staff who would be able to cover overnight shifts from 11pm to 2am. 

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with and mentoring young people; excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with students and staff; confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues; be a team player with a positive and professional disposition and have excellent communication skills.
